Made for travelers, by travelers

We Built the Travel AppWe Wished Existed

TripMemo was born from a simple frustration: after years of traveling the world, our photos were buried in camera rolls, our memories scattered across group chats, and our stories slowly fading. So we built something better.

The Founders

Meet Max & Samantha

Two travelers who've explored the world together—and wanted a way to keep those memories alive.

40+ Countries

Explored together

We've backpacked through Southeast Asia, road-tripped across Europe, island-hopped in Greece, and explored hidden corners of South America. Every trip taught us something—and every trip had moments we desperately wanted to hold onto.

Thousands of Photos

Buried in camera rolls

We tried everything: Google Photos, shared albums, travel blogs, physical scrapbooks. Nothing worked. Our photos were scattered, our memories fading. We'd forget which restaurant was in which city, which sunset was which day.

TripMemo Was Born

From that frustration

We wanted a travel app that felt like flipping through a book—day by day, place by place. One that worked offline on remote islands, let us collaborate with travel buddies, and turned chaotic camera rolls into stories we'd actually revisit. So we built it.

Our Story

From Frustration to TripMemo

It started with a simple question: where are all our travel photos?

After a three-week trip through Italy—Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast—we came home with over 2,000 photos. They were scattered across two phones, three group chats, and a shared Google Drive folder that never quite synced right.

Six months later, we tried to find that one perfect sunset photo from Positano. We couldn't. We couldn't even remember which day it was, or what restaurant we'd been eating at when we took it. The trip that felt so vivid in the moment had already started to fade.

The “aha” moment

We realized we didn't need another photo storage app. We needed a travel journal—one that organized memories by day and place, one that felt like flipping through a book, one that we'd actually want to open again.

So we built TripMemo. Not as a startup chasing growth metrics, but as the travel app we wished existed. One that works offline on remote islands, lets travel buddies contribute to the same story, and turns chaotic camera rolls into living books you'll actually revisit.

Today, TripMemo helps travelers around the world preserve their adventures. And we're still building—still traveling, still learning, still making the app better with every trip we take.

Our Values

What We Believe In

These principles guide every decision we make—from features to privacy to design.

Memories First

We build for nostalgia, not metrics. Every feature asks: will this help someone relive a trip?

Private by Default

Your memories are yours. We don't mine your data, show ads, or share your photos. Ever.

Built for Real Travel

Trips don't have WiFi. TripMemo works offline, syncs when you're ready, and never loses your moments.

Better Together

The best trips are shared. Collaborative journaling means everyone's perspective gets captured.

Simple is Beautiful

No bloat, no clutter. TripMemo does one thing well: turns trips into living books.

For Every Traveler

Weekend getaways to year-long adventures. Solo trips to group tours. TripMemo adapts to how you travel.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who built TripMemo?

TripMemo was built by Max and Samantha, two travelers who have explored the world together and wanted the perfect app to relive their adventures. We couldn't find it, so we built it.

Why was TripMemo created?

After years of traveling, we realized our photos were buried in camera rolls, scattered across group chats, and slowly forgotten. We wanted a travel app that felt like flipping through a book—day by day, place by place. TripMemo was born from that idea.

Is TripMemo a startup or a company?

TripMemo is an independent product built by a small team. We're travelers first, builders second. We're not chasing growth metrics—we're building the travel journal we've always wanted.

How can I contact TripMemo?

You can reach us at support@tripmemo.app. We read every email and love hearing from fellow travelers.

Is TripMemo free?

TripMemo is free to try. We believe everyone should be able to preserve their travel memories beautifully.

What makes TripMemo different from other travel apps?

TripMemo is built around the story of a trip—not just tracking locations. Each day becomes a page, places get pinned on a map, and the whole trip can be shared like a book. It's private by default, works offline, and is designed for real travelers.
